Hunting ground “Mazalat” is situated on the southern slope of Central Stara planina mountain, near the town of Kazanlak. It is 220 km away from Sofia Airport and 200 km away from Burgas airport.
The terrain is typically mountainous and the altitude varies from 1 450 m to 550 m above sea level. The broad-leaved forests dominate the scenery – mostly beech and oak, mixed with coniferous species in the lower parts.
In the alpine part of the hunting ground the main hunting species are – red deer, roe deer, wild boar, brown bear and wolf. Small game areas offer an opportunity for pheasant, rock partridge, quail and dove hunting.
“Mazalat” offers their guest 3 hunting lodges. The luxury hunting lodge “Trankovo” has 2 apartments and 4 double rooms, suitable for 14 people altogether. The lodge is about 30 km from the city of Stara Zagora. The hunting lodge “Leshnitsa”, located in the mountain close to Leshnitsa River Valley, offers accommodation for 6 people. The hunting shelter “Gabrovitsa” has 2 rooms with a shared bathroom.
The hunting enterprise also offers its guests trout fishing, photo hunting, horse riding, as well as spa procedures in the popular spa centre Pavel banya.
