Hunting ground “Izvora” is situated at 200 km from Sofia Airport and 100 km from Plovdiv Airport. The hunting area covers 9370 ha and is part of Western Rhodope mountain and Devin river defile. The terrain is typical mountainous and it is rugged and uneven in some parts. The altitude varies from 800 to 1800 m. above sea level. The whole territory of “Izvora” is covered with deciduous and coniferous forests. “Izvora” offers exceptional variety of game species. The area houses chamois, mouflon, capercaillie, brown bear, wild boar, roe deer, fallow deer and red deer. You can also hunt for wolf, fox, jackal and wild cat. The best trophies gained in “Izvora” are: chamois – 115.08 pts, wild boar – 131.46 pts, mouflon – 198.25 pts, red deer – 201.66 pts, deer – 108.57 pts. In “Izvora” guests are welcomed in 2 hunting lodges – “Devin” and “Kozi rog”, equipped with 9 double rooms. Each room has its own WC and shower. For non-hunters “Izvora” also offers fishing on Devin river, photo- and ecotourism. Visits to tourist sites, natural and ethnographic attractions could also be organized.
